Magnesia Chrome Brick with High Fire Resistance

Brief introduction of Magnesia chrome brick

Magnesia chrome bricks are mainly composed of magnesium oxide (MgO) and chromium trioxide (Cr2O3). Magnesia chrome brick is the main crystal phase of magnesium and magnesium spinel, which is baked in the oxidation atmosphere at 1600~1800 ℃. It can also be made of unfired bricks, water glass and other chemical adhesives. The magnesia chrome brick has the characteristics of high fire resistance, strong alkali slag corrosion resistance, good thermal stability and acid slag resistance.

Features of Magnesia chrome brick

High fire resistance, high temperature resistance, strong alkali slag corrosion resistance, good thermal stability, and certain adaptability to acid slag.

Application of Magnesia chrome brick

Magnesia chrome bricks are mainly used in metallurgical industry, such as electric furnace roof, outdoor refining furnace and various nonferrous metal smelting furnaces. Molten magnesia chrome bricks are used in the high temperature part of the furnace wall of the ultra-high power electric furnace, synthetic magnesia chrome bricks are used in the high erosion area of the external refining furnace, and molten magnesia chrome bricks and synthetic materials are used in the high erosion area of the non-ferrous metal fast melting furnace. In addition, magnesia chrome bricks are also used in cement rotary kilns, as well as regenerators in strip steel kilns, glass kilns, etc.
