Brief introduction of magnesia carbon brick
Magnesia carbon bricks are made of high melting point basic oxide magnesium oxide (melting point 2800 ℃) and high melting point carbon materials that are difficult to be wetted by slag, and various non oxide additives are added. Magnesia carbon bricks are mainly used for lining of converter, AC arc furnace and DC arc furnace, slag line of ladle, etc.
Advantages of magnesia carbon brick
Strong slag resistance
Good thermal shock resistance
Low high-temperature creep
Good high temperature resistance

Application of magnesia carbon bricks
Magnesia carbon brick is a composite structure. Its main parts are magnesia clinker with strong slag corrosion resistance to alkaline slag and carbon with poor wettability with slag, so it has excellent slag corrosion resistance. Magnesia carbon brick has high melting resistance because its constituent materials are magnesium oxide and carbon, both of which have high melting point, and the two components do not solidify each other.
